The MLS 10 is a low cost Paddle Level Switch, suitable for use on hoppers, bins and silos containing free-flowing granular and powdered materials such as sand, grain, animal feed stuffs, plastic granules or powders, etc.
In standard form the MLS 10 is suitable for side mounting into a 1½” BSP socket which should be located at the level at which an alarm signal is required.
Extended shaft versions and special paddle type arrangements can be supplied on request.
The MLS 10 Paddle Level Switch is housed in a compact weather and dustproof enclosure and can therefore be used in most environments.
The MLS 10 has a slowly rotating paddle driven by a low power consumption motor, arranged such that when the free rotation of the paddle is impeded by material covering the paddle, a microswitch operates to give an alarm switching signal.
Power to the motor is then disconnected by a second microswitch until material in the hopper drops away from the paddle.
The paddle will then start to rotate again and the signal microswitch switches back to the normal position.
