Leak detector for monitoring double-skinned pipes using pressure with inert gas (e.g. nitrogen), without stationary supply cylinder.
To be used on double-skinned pipes carrying water polluting, non-inflammable liquids and hazardous inflammable liquids of classes A I,A II, A III and B.
The double-skinned pipes must be suitable for the following pressures:
• In the interstitial space: < 21 bar
• In the inner pipe: < 16 bar
The monitoring pressures for "Alarm On“ and "Alarm Off“ can be adjusted via the two contacts of the integrated pressure gauge.
Factory settings:
"Alarm On“ = 2 bar,
"Alarm Off“ = 6 bar
The monitoring pressure for Alarm "ON“ must be at least 1 bar greater than the maximum operating pressure in the inner pipe.
The switch point "Alarm Off“ can be set to a maximum of 21 bar.
The pressure gauge continuously measures the pressure in the interstitial space of the pipe.If the total interstitial space volume does not exceed 1,200 l, several
interstitial spaces can be connected to one leak detector. A nitrogen cylinder with pressure reducer is connected to the test coupling of the leak detector via a filling and
test fitting (please order separately) to fill the interstitial space with inert gas. The filling pressure must not exceed 21 bar. After filling, the fitting is removed. If the pressure in the interstitial space falls below the adjusted threshold for "Alarm On“, the unit generates audible and visual alarms.
Additional equipment such as audible and visual alarms, telecommunication and event reporting systems can be connected to the relay contact (1 voltage-free changeover contact).
